Sampeng is one of Thailand’s oldest retail and wholesale markets situated in the heart of Bangkok’s China town area since 1782.
It is the biggest apparel and accessory market with many shop houses, open-air shop stalls clustered in narrow & small lanes.
Here you can go bulk and they will accommodate to you. Mix and match your orders as you please. Besides everything, you will also find gift and premium shops which sell at wholesale price, stationery products and other kinds of nick-knacks. It is a lot of color and bargaining that takes place here.
This little busy lane will definitely awaken your senses. Definitely, you can buy and find something to take home.
How to get in and around China Town
To get there, take the MRT (Underground train) and get off at Hualampong Station. From there, take an approximated 10 minutes cab ride, if you do not run into traffic.or you can go by taxi, tuk-tuk or even by a river boat on the Chao Praya River !.
