China Town is Bangkok’s oldest business district covering a large area around Yaowaraj road and Charoen Krung road (New road).  It has its own unique charm with variety kinds of businesses, Chinese temples, traditional Chinese medicines, herbs, shark fin, a multitude of small markets, gold shops, gifts and textiles.

If all Bangkok is a marketplace, Sampeng is still Old Siam

Sampeng is one of Thailand’s oldest retail and wholesale markets situated in the heart of Bangkok’s China town area since 1782.

It is the biggest apparel and accessory market with many shop houses, open-air shop stalls clustered in narrow & small lanes.

Here you can go bulk and they will accommodate to you. Mix and match your orders as you please. Besides everything, you will also find gift and premium shops which sell at wholesale price, stationery products and other kinds of nick-knacks. It is a lot of color and bargaining that takes place here.

This little busy lane will definitely awaken your senses.  Definitely, you can buy and find something to take home.
